Cultural Competency

Cultural competency training provides an opportunity to self-reflect on one's own cultural norms. This awareness helps to build the cultural lens necessary to have a meaningful understanding of a client's life experience which is essential for front-line workers.

Our training assists front-line workers and volunteers to expand their attitudes, knowledge and practices to work with diverse populations and communities in cross-cultural situations.

REACH workshops are eligible for Category A credits with the Alberta College of Social Workers if they align with personal learning goals and a Category A Summary Form is submitted in the personal portfolio.
