May 23, 2013 (EDMONTON, AB) - REACH Edmonton is making a difference and building partnerships. The 2013 showcase celebration will provide an opportunity for REACH and its members to celebrate the successes of 2012 and share their vision of making Edmonton a safer city in the future.

The showcase will feature Detective Chief Superintendent John Carnochan, an internationally-renowned speaker on issues of preventing and addressing violence in his jurisdiction. Carnochan believes it is integral to address family violence in order to prevent violence in society and that men have a vital role to play.

REACH Edmonton Council for Safe Communities is a community-based coordinating council, working to make Edmonton a safer city in one generation, by focusing on crime prevention and community safety issues.

"I am thrilled to showcase the achievements of our partners as a result of ongoing collaboration," said REACH Executive Director, Jan Fox.
