REACH recognizes value of OutREACH volunteers
REACH Edmonton took to social media April 13-17 to honour the 37 volunteers that make the OutREACH initiative possible.
During National Volunteer Week, REACH posted a personal thank you to each volunteer on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to showcase these inspiring citizens to the larger community.
“Our volunteers are the ambassadors for REACH,” said Kelly Holland, community outREACH coordinator at REACH Edmonton.
Volunteers can be seen representing REACH at a variety of community events including safety fairs, Edmonton Police Service Community Action Team Deployments and youth events to name only a few.
So far this year, volunteers have attended 15 events, reaching more than 4,000 people in the community.
“We have a very dedicated group of people who want to make a difference in our community and make Edmonton a safer city,” said Holland. “They are superheroes in their communities, who always give 100 percent no matter the size of the task.”
Thank you once again to our fabulous REACH volunteer team: Abel, Akshay, Alexa, Alexia, Aliza, Allison, Anshu, Anthony, Beth, Brandon, Brenda, Brittany, Catherine, Cathy, Domina, Fativa, Greg, Jaaz, Jenille, Jennifer, Jeskiran, Kelsey, Kevin, Khadija, Lisa, Muneet, Olivia, Raveena, Reva, Rutendo, Sahiba, Sam, Sarah, Tasha, Thabiso, Tharun and Waseh.
