THERESA VLADICKA

Theresa Vladicka is the Senior Manager, Government Relations for EPCOR, a utilities company headquarter in Edmonton. This position allows her to draw on her experience in and passion for city and community building, advocacy, and public policy development.
Prior to her time at EPCOR, Theresa was MacEwan University’s inaugural Director of Government Affairs, responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to engage with all levels of government. Theresa also spent six months as Acting Vice Presi-dent, University Relations where she focused on the integration of functions across communications and marketing, community en-gagement, government relations, and web services.
Theresa also had a 13-year career with the Government of Alberta where she held senior management positions in the areas of policy development and strategic coordination. She worked in a variety of ministries, including Executive Council, Advanced Education, Children’s Service, Culture and Tourism, and Innovation and Economic Development. She also served on high priority task forces, including the 2013 Southern Alberta Flood Recovery Task Force and the 2026 Olympic Bid Secretariate.
Ms. Vladicka holds a Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Alberta. She volunteers extensively in her community and has served on several boards and committees including the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce Workforce and Talent Development Committee, the Downtown Re-covery Coalition, Edmonton Social Planning Committee, Garneau/University Early Learning Centre, Friends of the World Cup of Wrestling Society, and, most recently, Wrestling Canada Lutte.
