I am Rie Nakai and you can find my pronunciation here if you are wondering, which has a background photo of Itsukushima Shrine located in Hiroshima where I grew up. I am grateful to live now in amiskwacîwâskahikan as a mother of three.

I spend most of my time at REACH planning, organizing, coordinating, and hosting sessions for the REACH Training initiative. I spent a few years supporting newcomer immigrants and refugees earlier in my career. I enjoy connecting with frontline workers in the city and looking into opportunities that can empower those who serve vulnerable people and diverse populations. I believe that we all have a key role to play in creating a healthier and safer community.
