ROBBIE KABONI

REACH Board Member

With over 30 years of experience in youth work, social work, and Indigenous community services, Robbie has committed her career to creating safer, stronger, and more connected communities.

Currently, she serve as Supervisor of Community Services at Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society, where she lead several key initiatives that promote safety, inclusion, and wellbeing: the New in Town Aboriginal Welcome Service, Community Outreach Transit Team (COTT), Human- centered Engagement and Liaison Partnership (H.E.L.P.), and the Community Assistance Team (CAT).

Robbie's work is rooted in partnership and collaboration, bringing together service providers, community members, and law enforcement to ensure that our collective efforts reflect the lived realities and aspirations of those we serve—particularly Indigenous communities.

Robbie contribute to several community-led initiatives that align with REACH Edmonton’s vision. She serves on the planning committee for the Oskayak Police Academy, a partnership with the Edmonton Police Service, Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society, and Edmonton Native Healing Centre that fosters understanding and leadership among Indigenous youth. She also serves on the nîsohkamâkewin Council (Chief’s Community Advisory Council), which provides the Edmonton Police Service with culturally-informed guidance on policies and practices impacting Indigenous Peoples.

Robbie is passionate about building safe, vibrant communities through respectful engagement, trust-building, and collaborative action.
